Michigan residents:

Take action to build a more equitable, sustainable waste system!

Michigan's municipal solid waste landfills are a huge source of climate and health pollution, spewing methane and other toxins like benzene and VOCs into the air. And landfills aren't in the middle of nowhere — they're near residential neighborhoods, parks, and schools. In fact, 1 in 4 Michiganders has a landfill within five miles of their community, facing increased exposure to toxic pollution.

It doesn’t have to be this way. Together, we can push for stronger landfill operating standards, stand up against landfill expansions that put corporate profits over health, and build a waste system that doesn’t rely on burying trash in landfills.
